Background
Griton OS38 is a aqueous solution of sodium C14-16 alpha-olefin sulphonate. This product has good foaming and excellent detergency and has lower irritancy than sodium alkyl sulphonates and alkyl benzene sulphonates. Griton OS38 can be used in many industrial and domestic applications were good detergency and cleaning are required. Typical examples include textile auxiliaries, shampoos and bubble baths, manual dishwash liquids. This product is also used in emulsion polymerisation processes.

Stainless steel, polyethylene or glass lined equipment is necessary for the storage of Griton OS38 in order to prevent corrosion and subsequent contamination.
